How to Remove Acrylic Nails at Home Without Damaging Your Natural Nails
Materials You'll Need:
* Nail clippers * Acetone or non-acetone nail polish remover * Cotton balls or pads * Aluminum foil * Cuticle pusher (optional)Steps:
1. Trim the acrylic nails down:
Use nail clippers to carefully trim down the acrylic nails as short as possible. This will expose more of the natural nail and make it easier to remove the acrylic. Be careful not to cut your natural nails.
2. Soak the nails in acetone or non-acetone nail polish remover:
Saturate cotton balls or pads with acetone or non-acetone nail polish remover. Wrap the cotton balls around the nails and secure them with aluminum foil. Leave them on for 15-20 minutes to soften the acrylic.
3. Remove the acrylic:
Once the acrylic has softened, use a cuticle pusher or your nails to gently push it off the natural nails. Start from the cuticle and work your way down. Be patient and avoid using excessive force to prevent damage.
4. Buff and moisturize:
After removing the acrylic, buff the natural nails to smooth out any rough edges. Then, apply cuticle oil or lotion to moisturize and nourish your nails.
