Suzanne Morphew's Remains Identified, Death Ruled a Homicide
Remains Found Near Moffat in Saguache County
The remains of Suzanne Morphew, a Colorado mother of two who went missing in 2020, have been identified by the El Paso County Coroner. According to Saguache County Coroner Tom Perrin, the remains were located in a remote field of sagebrush and grasses, and an autopsy revealed animal sedatives were present in her body. Morphew's death has since been ruled a homicide.
Morphew, who originally hailed from Alexandria, Indiana, was 49 years old when she vanished while on a bike ride in May 2020. Months after her disappearance, her brother revealed that the family was organizing its own search efforts. Her remains were ultimately located last fall near Moffat in Saguache County.
