The Nebraska Cornhuskers women's volleyball team will open its 2023 season next week with a match against the Lipscomb Bisons. The Huskers are coming off an Elite Eight appearance in 2022 and are ranked No. 4 in the preseason AVCA Coaches Poll.
Nebraska is led by a talented group of players, including All-American setter Nicklin Hames and All-Big Ten outside hitter Madi Kubik. The Huskers also have a strong incoming recruiting class, which includes five-star recruits Lindsay Krause and Bekka Allick.
Nebraska will open its season with a three-match homestand against Lipscomb, Northern Iowa and Utah. The Huskers will then travel to the Creighton Classic, where they will face Creighton, BYU and Pepperdine.
Nebraska is one of the top teams in the country and will be looking to make a run at the national championship this season. The Huskers have a talented roster and a lot of experience. They will be a tough team to beat in 2023.
Schedule for the first three games of the season:
- August 25th: vs Lipscomb at 7:00 PM CT
- August 26th: vs Northern Iowa at 7:00 PM CT
- August 27th: vs Utah at 1:00 PM CT
